What is ISO 22000:2005 (FSMS)?
ISO 22000:2005 is an international standard that defines the requirements of a food safety management system covering all sizes of all organizations throughout the food chain. It is applicable to all the organization irrespective of their size where they want to implement systems that consistently provide safe products for human consumption.
ISO 22000 Certification recognized as Food Safety Management. ISO 22000 maps out what an organisation needs to do to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards. Food safety linked to the presence of food-borne hazards. It is more important as customer demand for safe food. Also, the food processor should check that the food which obtained from the supplier is safe.
ISO 22000:2005 dealing with food safety and developed by Indian Organization for Standardization. It specifies the necessity of food safety management system for the organisations representing a food chain such that they could validate its ability to control food safety hazards to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.
